Roh gets an ultimatum from his own Uri Party

President Roh Moo-hyun was given an ultimatum Saturday: stay in the Uri Party or choose the Grand National Party by Dec. 9, according to a well-placed Uri source who declined to be named.
Mr. Roh's indirect response to party chairman and longtime rival Kim Geun-tae was to offer to launch a negotiating council with the Grand National Party, which that party then rejected. Yesterday Mr. Roh hinted he might leave the Uri Party.
