'Rome' a hit on Korean Cable

I've been enjoying Rome since it hit OCN a few weeks ago.  It seems that I'm not alone:

In the cable world, where a 1 percent viewer rating is on the high side, the show has brought a landslide 3.18 percent in the AGB Nielsen Ratings on its first airing. Average ratings over 3 weeks dropped off slightly to around 2.15 percent. Viewers who are fed-up with the overabundance of soap opera fare are saying finally something has come along that's actually worth watching.

Gyopo writes for 'Lost'

Wow!  An American TV show has Korean characters and they actually hired a Gyopo to help with the writing:

(Christina) Kim joined last June for the show’s second season. After majoring in English at Georgetown University, she did her post-graduate work at the University of Southern California, where she studied screenwriting, before making her debut on “Lost.”

She modestly attributes getting a writing job on the show to pure luck. "I never imagined that my first work would be on a drama as big as ‘Lost,’” she told the U.S. edition of the JoongAng Daily. “I guess that since there are Korean characters in the show, they needed someone who knew about the language and culture.”

She plans to write a feature in the future:

For the future, she is already developing a thriller that will feature a strong female character against the backdrop of the Korean War.
