The Cruel joke that is Korean government continues

I wasn't going to post today. Really, I wasn't. But then I saw the picture below and felt compelled.

When the OOP said that they needed to move to a new HQ, I didn't think they meant the Speaker's podium. (Korea Times pic)

The joke of an attempt to impeach the joke of a president by the joke of a national assembly hit a snag went the joke of a "governing" party decided to block the podium.

Say what you want about the impeachment move itself (I think it is a dumb move and will probably only make Roh look almost respectable), this kind of lawlessness can not stand. If the boys in the OOP do this again tomorrow, Speaker Park Kwan-young should have security guards drag them off.

Once those goons are dragged off, the General Assembly should censure Roh and drop this impeachment business. Yeah, Roh broke Korean election law but its not like he committed perjury or something. [UPDATE: Oranckay says that Roh did not, in fact, violate Korean election law.]

I'll say it again. Who can the Korean people possibly vote for next month? Kim Jong-il must be dancing a little jig right now.

Sunsets From My Window

I lived in a twelfth-floor apartment in Ansan, Korea for about 18 months. As you can see, it offered some pretty good views in the evening. My wife and I often enjoyed the summer sunsets during dinner.
